Exploring the Great Salt Lake: Science, Senses, and Sustainability

Students in Ms. Mauro's Outdoor Science Education class visited Antelope Island at the Great Salt Lake to investigate the lake’s changes over time and explore the reasons behind its historically low water levels. During the trip, students engaged their five senses to fully experience and connect with the environment. The day included two scenic hikes and an exploration of the lake’s shoreline, offering students a hands-on opportunity to learn about this unique ecosystem.
