Promoting Peace: Academic Study Skills Students Engage in Thoughtful Discussion

Academic Study Skills students have been exploring the concept of peace and how we can promote it in our lives, school, homes, and community. As part of this study, students read Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, a powerful story about resilience, hope, and the wish for peace.

To deepen their understanding, students crafted their own discussion questions on the theme of peace. Last week, they gathered for a Peace & Tea Forum, where they sipped tea and engaged in meaningful conversations in small groups.

In addition, our students are working on an inspiring project—folding 1,000 paper cranes, each carrying a wish for peace. This project symbolizes unity and the power of small actions to create change.

Through reading, discussion, and hands-on activities, students are reflecting on the importance of peace and how they can contribute to a more peaceful world. Stay tuned for updates as our crane-folding project continues!
