Northwest Celebrates Newly, Donated Soccer Pitch!
On October 11, Northwest celebrated their newly, donated mini-soccer pitch with an exciting ribbon cutting event! The U.S. Soccer Foundation and the Major League Soccer Players Association generously donated the soccer pitch. The U.S. Soccer Foundation's project, It's Everyone's Game, is a national movement to ensure children in underserved communities can enjoy the health and youth development benefits of playing soccer. A big shout out to Andrew Brody and Justin Glad, the Real Salt Lake players who attended the event! Art teacher, Melissa Coyle, painted the school colors on the soccer pitch's panels along with our school slogan, "I am Northwest." Student artwork will also be display around the pitch's panels.
