About Me

Born and raised in Colorado, I have always had a love for the
outdoors. I enjoy camping, kayaking and slacklining. I have a passion
for the great sport of soccer along with traveling the world. I did a
study abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico where I found my love for the
Spanish language. Since then, I have tried learning other languages: I
am always trying to learn new things wherever I can!

During high school, I was inspired by my 10th grade English teacher to
become a teacher myself: I wanted to EDUCATE and INSPIRE! Attending
both University of Northern Colorado and Brigham Young University, I
graduated with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an
emphasis in English and a minor in TESOL. During my years at college,
I worked in several high schools in Utah County. Before coming to
Northwest Middle School, I taught 10th and 11th grade English at
Springville High School.
